Singing for Breast Cancer!

I will present you an offer.  If you are to donate any money at all to Relay For Life (money goes to breast cancer research), I’ll will play you a song on my ukulele.  Honestly ANY amount.  One guy gave me a penny so I played “Friday” for him.  Today I went around to teachers, friends, and complete strangers (a.k.a. new friends) and played songs to them on my ukulele and I hope to continue doing so, annoying the entire school population.  So please, if you see me walking around, please donate any amount of money for breast cancer research (through Relay For Life) and I’ll sing to you, or serenade (in Spanish!), if you’d prefer.

P.S. I’ve been told that I’m good at singing/playing ukulele so hopefully you’ll enjoy it, but just in case they are all lying and you don’t, I can always pull the guilt trip method of garnering donations.

Friend:
Why are you mad at me?
Me:
I'm trying to come up with a way of saying I'm not mad at you without sounding sarcastic or mad, like saying "I'm not." would just seem like I'm angry, right? But even this is starting to sound sarcastic so I'll stop and hope that you understand that I'm not actually mad at you
Friend:
ok...

Bigoted Boy Scouts

Made by Dan Rezler

on how the Boy Scouts of America discriminates based on religious views and sexual orientations.

Also, side-note: Most of the time, members who are atheist/agnostic/gay whatever aren’t kicked out, but it is a stance that the BSA takes.  Most of the time what would happen is a parent complaining about some scout leaders being gay/athiest and getting them fired.

This sentence has five words. Here are five more words. Five-word sentences are fine. But several together become monotonous. Listen to what is happening. The writing is getting boring. The sound of it drones. It’s like a stuck record. The ear demands some variety. Now listen. I vary the sentence length, and I create music. Music. The writing sings. It has a pleasant rhythm, a lilt, a harmony. I use short sentences. And I use sentences of medium length. And sometimes, when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals–sounds that say listen to this, it is important.

Sometimes when I’m trying to focus on homework or something I get distracted and then hit myself on the head, like I’m yelling at myself “HEY. Pay attention to what you were doing!”
